Our Environment Step

We wished to inform you of our practices for the protection of environment.

As private individual and as tourism professionals (public establishment) we act everyday of best than we can. Of course, we have still a long way to run. We are opened to all realizable ideas in this field.

Electricity

• Low consumption bulbs in all the public places (dining room, living room, terrace, garden, outdoor access)
• Short duration timers in the corridors
• VMC cut during the day
• Night washes

Water

• Nozzles air head taps. To save water 50%
• Daily small gestures: no thrown water: re-use not consumed water for coffee machines, teapots, washing of vegetables
• atering of the flowers in summer
• Watering of the garden in summer reduced to the strict minimum
• Reduction of 35% in 1 year

Waste waters

• Decanting greases vat for kitchen waste waters. Pumping and reprocessing, according to the environmental standards by private company

Heating

• Thermostatic radiators
• General atmosphere thermostat
• Regulation of the boiler: cut of heating from 10 A.M to 4 P.M.

Cleaning materials

• Use of products under ECOLABEL label (European label) or AB Bio label (Ecocert) for the washing-up, cleaning of worktops,grounds cleaning products
• Magic ball for personal linen

Paper

• Complete use of white recycled papers (correspondences, adverts, contracts)
• Double-sided printing of all our documents
• Systematic use of the email to avoid use of paper

Various food and consumption

• Wine from organic farming
• Selection of nonindustrial products as more as possible
• Short circuit supplying especially in the summer (tomato, salads, fruits)
• Biodegradable plastic bags for the picnics

Sorting of waste

• Glasses
• Small packing, plastic bottles, cubic milk bottles, fruit juices…
• ewspapers
• Batteries
• Ink cartridges for printers
• Plastic caps

Compost

• Creation of an outdoor compost for vegetable matters: dead leaves, branches, grass, weeds, chimney ashes, faded flowers, etc
• Creation of a closed compost for the organic matters: peelings of fruits and vegetables, egg shells
